Executive Chef Tim Cooper learned the meaning of ‘hospitality’ as a teenager, busing tables at Findlay’s Imperial House. After years of apprenticeships, culinary school, and positions at restaurants, he was eager to make his mark on Findlay’s culinary scene. Previously a chef for the Findlay Country Club, Cooper became the executive chef at Birchaven Village for a change of pace.

After taking the reins, Cooper set out to make dining in the Heights at Birchaven something the residents would be excited about – and he has done just that. Residents at Birchaven choose from two chef specials and about 25 different entrees off a restaurant-style menu in the dining room. In addition, the chef hosts different themed meals through the year to create a little mealtime flair.
